I would love to see the "old-school" guilds return. (EviL, WM, iQ, ....)

EviL and WM can't play anymore due to multiple members being in the army, as far as I know.

Guild Wars is now a PvE game with PvP as an afterthought, sooner you realise this, the happier you will be. All mention of PvP has vanished from the recent advertising material, meh.
I'd love a world championship, but it would need a massive drive to make it something that isn't a complete joke.

Hero battles too!
IMO, make the qualifications determined by like top 8 or top 16 best overall performances in the upcoming monthly AT's. Or maybe set up a completely new qualifying thing after these monthly AT's finish.

Nah, they all did their service. They just don't play because the game is shit, and to quote some of the players "we might come back when there is something worth playing for". Like another World Championship perhaps?

I would love to see the competitive aspect of the game return. Until something like this happens, Guild Wars is only filling my time while I search for a better game.

The prizes don't even have to be that big; just the idea of another tournament would spark interest in pvp play again. It could work well with black's ideas of reviving an old game and system. This tournament would perhaps be the launching point for the "PvP version" of Guild Wars. The genre still has some drawing power, imho.

Alongside that, maybe they could offer a small GW WC with some prizes, etc. This sort of strategy would build interest in the product, acquaint people with the platform for GW2... before they all disappear into Warhammer / Conan.

If they just had the motive to add a tad bit of marketing, plus a PVP pack released with all skills in the game for around 40$ while promoting the next championship we might see PVP in a more lively state. This should have been done a while ago though.
IMO the people that left the game won't make a comeback for any lengthly amount of time even if there were another GWWC. Crappy expansions with untweaked skills, boredom, skill balances that took forever, and a stale ladder for over 8+months with the promise of AT's which just made GVGing all that more difficult and timely killed the PVP scene.
